Getting
Started
The
amount of cloth diapers you will need depends on the age of your
baby and how often you plan to wash.
Remember the more you wash the more wear and tear on the
diapers. Newborns go through more cloth diapers then
an older baby. You should
plan to wash every 2-3 days.
This is a list of what I recommend:
Diapering
Supplies
Newborns:
§
24-36 cloth diapers or pre-folds per child
§
4-6 diaper covers if using pre-folds or fitteds
§
1 insert per pocket diaper
Older Infants & Toddlers:
§
20-30 cloth diapers or pre-folds per child
§
4-6 diaper covers if using pre-folds or fitteds
§
1 insert per pocket diaper
Miscellaneous (extra optional
items):
§
Doublers
§
Liners
§
Snappis or Pins for pre-folds and contours
Storage
& Washing Supplies
§
Diaper pail, can, or bucket
§
Diaper pail liner (optional)
§
Wipes, Wipe solution
§
Detergent, Baking Soda, Vinegar, Downy ball
§
Wet bag or Diaper bag that has a wet bag included.
What
do I personally use with my children? We
wash every other day.
